Songs with Spirit Songs for the Soul
Songs with Spirit is a space for meditation, reflection and connection through voice and song which takes place in the exquisite acoustics and surroundings of the Roselidden Centre for meditation and creativity near Helston. In the autumn and winter terms Pip facilitates a 6-week series of workshops which take place on Monday mornings from 9.30 - 11.30am. The group sings songs of peace, joy, devotion, solidarity and change, allowing the deeper and meditative qualities of songs develop and resonate as well as experimenting with sound baths, toning and improvisation. Numbers are limited for this popular course. |
Breathing Space Singing
Breathing Space Singing is an initiative for people living with long-term lung health conditions. Breathing Space Singing get together every Friday afternoon to learn good breathing habits and how to make the most of their lung capacity through singing. A relaxed, friendly group, Breathing Space Singers was set up in 2015 by Pip Wright and is open to anyone with a lung health condition. Breathing Space Singing is now a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) and led by local singing leader Sophia Halling. |
Shout West
Shout West is a friendly, informal session carrying on the Cornish tradition of beautiful harmony singing in pubs. Once a month (usually on the last Sunday) 8-10pm, at the Yacht Inn, Penzance. Pip and friends facilitate a session of 'Songs the Cornish belong to sing' ... someone 'strikes up' a first line and we're off. Wordbooks available (.
